An Easy Composter To Build~

Thinking of creating a compost pile this year?
Key size is 4 foot square so it will break down within a proper heat range.
Cheapest option? Wire wood pallets together with screening attached on 3 sides of the pallets. That way you can use the open the front panel to removed what you need from the bottom.
Remember to follow my S-G-H method.

Use Rainy Days to Scout for Problems

A rainy day is a good opportunity for you to walk around and check out how your gutters are doing.

  • Are any gutters overflowing?
  • Are any of the downspouts clogged causing overflowing?
  • Are any downspouts not connected to the receivers causing water to flood the land around your foundation?
  • Is dirt splashing up on the foundation?

If so, check with local gutter cleaners, draintile installers or plumbers to remediate any problems.
