Bringing In Your Houseplants~

Now is the time of year many people will start to bring in their houseplants they have brought outside during the warm weather.

But before you do, make sure you use a contact insecticide to kill any resident insects like scale or aphids that may be on the hiding on the plants. It is so much easier to do outside now than to have to do it inside in a few weeks when you start to notice problems.

I recommend using either an organic Soap Shield or Malathion, available at your nearest garden center or big box store. You can also use an oil spray of 3 oz of canola oil to 1 gal of water with a squirt of dishwashing soap to spritz thoroughly.
